Our team

e.awanou@ong-grandcoeur.org

As founder and managing director of GRAND CŒUR, I am committed to supporting particularly vulnerable people in Benin.

After studying German language and literature and working as a German teacher, I worked at Lake Constance caring for people with disabilities, then completed my training as a nurse, and now work in an intensive care unit.

Our goal is to provide long-term support to people with disabilities and strengthen their inclusion—through concrete assistance on the ground and through international volunteer work in social and medical projects in Benin.

I am an anesthesiologist at Sindelfingen-Böblingen Hospital and enjoy working in the intensive care unit and as an emergency physician. I am the senior physician in charge of intensive care medicine at the Sindelfingen-Böblingen site. I am a specialist in anesthesiology and internal medicine and have additional qualifications in intensive care medicine and emergency medicine. In addition, I am a senior emergency physician, ABS expert (DGKH), and qualified in emergency sonography (DEGUM Level I).

I have three children and enjoy spending my free time outdoors, especially in winter.

It is a great honor and pleasure for me to actively support the GRAND COEUR association. My role is to accompany anesthesiologists from Benin during their internships in our department. To this end, we are planning a three-week structured program to familiarize our colleagues with our techniques, procedures, and standards in all areas.
I am very much looking forward to the collegial and friendly exchange across all borders.
