International volunteer mission organized by GRAND CŒUR for the Saint Padre Pio Hospital in N'Dali

After arriving in northern Benin, our three German volunteers dropped off their suitcases at Saint Padre Pio Hospital in N'Dali—a referral hospital and preferred partner of the NGO GRAND CŒUR. There, they were welcomed with open arms by a warm team of dedicated and hardworking professionals.

After being introduced to the entire hospital staff, the volunteers began their three-week professional internship. In this warm and completely new environment, they familiarized themselves with the realities of the Beninese healthcare system—especially physical therapy—exchanged valuable professional and personal experiences, and learned from each other in a multicultural setting.

This allowed the three volunteers to work not only in physical therapy, but also in neonatology and the maternity ward. Their integration went smoothly, and the experience proved to be extremely enriching.

We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to Millie, Lola, and Luis, who traveled with physical therapy equipment in their luggage, as well as to Saint Padre Pio Hospital. This wonderful adventure was only possible thanks to their support and also contributes to promoting the inclusion of the most vulnerable in healthcare.

The NGO GRAND CŒUR will continue to work towards a more just and inclusive world.
