The aid organization GRAND CŒUR shares the joy and magic of Christmas with vulnerable children in the village of Bodéli (N’DALI).

As part of its social inclusion and child protection efforts, the aid organization GRAND CŒUR organized a large toy giveaway for vulnerable children in the village of Bodéli in the municipality of N'Dali on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. This initiative, which aims to share the joy and magic of Christmas with them, brought together community leaders, parents, and the technical team of the GRAND CŒUR aid organization in a shared spirit of solidarity.

The ceremony took place under the village's palaver tree in a festive atmosphere, accompanied by children's songs, applause, and many smiling faces. A total of ninety (90) children, who were identified with the support of the village chief and community workers, benefited from this donation. Households with very low incomes, orphans and foster children, and children with disabilities were given priority in the selection process. To ensure fairness, the teams made sure that the toys were age-appropriate, gender-neutral, educational, and safe.

The kits handed out included educational games (puzzles, construction games), plastic trumpets, small toy motorcycles, dolls, balls, toy cars, and drawing materials. For around thirty (30) children who live in remote hamlets and were unable to travel, the GRAND CŒUR team organized a door-to-door distribution at the end of the day so that no one would be left out.

The ceremony was enhanced by the presence of village authorities, including the village chief, religious leaders, and traditional authorities. In his welcoming speech, the village chief praised the ongoing commitment of the aid organization GRAND CŒUR to vulnerable populations and called on the community to take good care of the toys and encourage the children to use them for educational purposes. He also expressed his gratitude to the donors and volunteers who brought Christmas cheer to every child.

The moving feedback from parents and children underscored the significance of this gesture in a context where access to toys is limited in rural areas. The GRAND CŒUR team raised awareness of the importance of play and toys, which offer learning, social, and self-esteem experiences beyond just fun. With this campaign, GRAND CŒUR is meeting a basic human need: giving children the opportunity to dream, learn, and develop despite economic constraints.

The aid organization would like to express its sincere thanks to its members and all donors who contributed to the success of this wonderful initiative.

True to its vision, GRAND CŒUR reaffirms its commitment to continuing initiatives that combine solidarity, dignity, and human development. Through this toy donation, an entire community comes together to put children at the center, recognize their rights, and give them an unforgettable Christmas.

Let us continue to work together with the aid organization GRAND CŒUR to promote inclusion and dignity for vulnerable people, and make every gesture of solidarity a promise for the future of our children.
